1000g 6" Broad axe

A larger axe that can be used for heavier bowl blank preparation or even timber frame beam hewing.

Forged from a single piece of carbon steel, the example shown is centre forged and double beveled with a straight eye. These axes are forged to order so I am happy to offer a range of options from right or left handed, straight or canted (twisted) eye.

A canted haft benefits the user when hewing beams, boards or any situation where the guide hand may come close to work. The twist or cant allows clearance between fingers and timber.
