These classically styled drawkinves are traditionally used by coopers for shaping the cask lids or “heads” but are equally well suited to any large shaving work.

The blade is slightly curved forwards, as is preferred and features the old style “drop” handles seen on vintage tools such as those made by Gilpin or Mathiesons of Glasgow.

Forged from a solid pieces of 1/4” thick 80CrV2, the blades are 12” wide with outer part of the handles reaching approx. 22”.

These are large tools and are supplied without a sheath.
